I did sharpen mine up today, it arrived fairly sharp but not as sharp as usual from Civivi, but, any knife will eventually require some maintenance so no big deal. Slicing down through some thin receipt paper free standing is a good test of sharpness, not every knife will be able to do it easily, after some sharpening today, this was fine
