Hi,
Does anyone know of any aftermarket thumb studs for a CJRB Pyrite? There doesn't seem to be a lot of clear info out there. I love Benchmade style studs but am unable to confirm if these will work. Has anyone tried replacing with something more comfortable?

Thanks all!

I'm just a random guy with access only to hand tools at most so my methods might seem crude but here is what I did when I swapped thumbstuds from one knife to another.

First, you need the specs of the knife, for your model, it seems like it is readily available, the pyrite should be around 0.11'' blade thickness, as for the aftermarket parts for the benchmade bugout thumbstuds, they are made to fit a blade that is 0.09'', in theory you can fit a small screw into a bigger hole but not the other way around. So its a matter of holding the blade in a vice of shorts and just grab a wrench to set them loose and to swap them, I don't have a pyrite but the thumbstuds for that model seems to be a bit bigger than a standard bugout one so the height of stud should no problem since you are going from bigger to smaller.

In my case, I have 0 machinining shops around me and the cost to make those screws custom made would have been too expensive so this is about as cheap as it gets.

Thanks so much for this! I really appreciate it!
