Just to make this less confusing:
CollectorKnives is a dealer based in Oklahoma that is well-known to those who collect Great Eastern Cutlery knives. They offer a first-come-first-serve early reserve system and notify subscribed customers of new arrivals to the early reserve via texts or notifications in an app named Remind.

Mike Latham, the guy running the store, sent out a message via Remind (and likely other methods) to notify Verizon customers that Verizon had deemed these texts spam and raised the rate for sending the messages by some large percentage - thus, Verizon customers will need to use Remind from now on.

That said, I’m not sure why this struck anyone as particularly noteworthy.
