Just a quick note for those of you planning on going to Blade.....GO TO THE BANQUET AND SIGN UP ASAP.....http://www.customknifecollectorsassociation.com/Banquet.html
I'm a food NUT, and had recommended Maggiano's Little Italy to Larry for the banquet, after eating there last year on the last day in Atlanta for Blade.
$40.00 per person for the quality of food you are going to get is a STEAL, it will be the best meal you will have all week, unless you are making the drive into downtown Atlanta, and certainly one of the more economical meals at that.
Here are some reviews of Maggiano's for consideration:
"Maggiano's was some of the finest Italian food I have ever tasted. The dining room decor was plush but not overdone. The waitstaff was attentive and polite. The prices were very reasonable, and the portions were tremendous! It is the perfect restaurant for a group of people or families who want to sample different dishes (and you will want to once you read the menu!). The fish was cooked to perfection, the eggplant parmesan was melt-in-your-mouth, and the bread and spreads were unique."
"Great Italian food and lots of it. This place is right out of a mafia movie...a traditional Italian restaurant, down to the dark wood furniture and red and white checkered tablecloths. Maggiano's has a large selection of traditional Italian dishes and wines"
"The menu features select wines and traditional family recipes, which the kitchen serves up in huge portions. You'll find a range of Italian favorites, like spaghetti, ravioli and chicken parmesan. Don't fill up too quickly, though, or you'll miss out on the delicious desserts. "
"Most people think of Maggiano's as a good restaurant for a family style dinner. However, its a great place to hold an Event the planning was phenomenally easy and the decor is simple but elegant. All you really have to do is pick a menu and they handle the rest. And the value for the cost is tremendous."
"We love Maggiano's and the Cumberland location is new with a beautiful decor and large bar/eating area if you prefer to eat in a casual setting. We like the main dining room with a casual, but elegant feel. Our favorite is the family style menu and the freshness and flavor of all dishes. Service was great, too."
If you guys don't have a great meal, a great time, and a great little knife show, let me know personally, and I'll see what I can do to help fix it for next year.
Best Regards,
STeven Garsson
