The CKG show is only a few days away! In anticipation, i have reached out to some of the knifemakers in the hopes of getting some sneak peeks of what they will be bringing...I will post pics here as they come in.
I just got off the phone with Neil at TNK...fear not Strider and Chris Reeve fans, there will again be 5 tables full of knives!
While Neil will be showing Strider and CR, he is willing to bring individual pieces upon request. For example, he will be bringing this Warren Osbourne show stopper...worth $6K.
Just heard from Greg Lighfoot and Kirby Lambert...both will be introducing new models at the CKG! I have to give both of them big kudos for their support of us Canadian collectors...with their international reputations, Greg and Kirby could easily debut new models at American shows like Blade (as some other makers have elected to do)...it is nice to see them sticking with their roots!
In addition to his regular lineup, Greg will be bringing:
* a new 6" fixed blade in 21st century san mai (carbon fiber over steel, like my one-off alien)
* a new neck knife with shark skin sheath
* a carbon fiber, cord-wrapped axe!!!!
This just in from Guillaume Cote...a nessmuk with ebony handle and turquoise spacers and examples of the hunters and fillet knives that he will be bringing.
A few of the pieces that will be on Paul Savage's table...a tomahawk and a couple of Japanese cord-wrapped knives (tanto and neck knife)
