Day Two
Ok, ok, youre all waiting to see pics of knives so
First stop, Greg Lightfoot to check in and let him know how my new knife is doing (see review part 1 for details). Heres a pic of Greg with his new knife (nicknamed Hog Hunter I think) with 6.5 blade, which is powder coated with the same material used on tanks. A JSP Bladerigger shoulder harness completes the package. Of course, I am holding my new M1 Stellite
Yeah, I could take him (heh heh).
Here is a closeup of his new knife along with mine and one of his Maximum Velocity folders.
Next stop, Wally Hayes. Wally brought along one of his dazzling Hayabusas, a double-edged tanto complete with double Hammon lines! Wally is holding the Hayabusa, Im holding a Waki made by his apprentice Rob
Next we visited Peter Wile. Peter brought along some beautiful gents folders including this piece
Murray and I loved Peters idea of including a Certificate of Origin with each knife, detailing the full specs they should all come this way!
As we moved our way around the room, we caught up with our fellow BF Toronto knife knuts. Heres collector/photographer extraordinaire Murray White with Holger Enge (cockroachfarm)
And here I am with Roger Pinnock, Eaphan (aerius), and knifemaker Kirby Lambert.
Speaking of Kirby, heres a closeup of his tanto.
Murray feels that Kirbys knives were among the best buys of the show. Holger expressed his agreement by purchasing this tactical
And this gentlemans folder. Brian Lyttle who was unable to attend due to an eye injury forged the damascus and did the engraved rosette on this piece.
oops, too many pictures in one post...will post a continuation...
