Day Three

Day Three begins with a visit to the host of our first BF Toronto luncheon, George Tichbourne. George surprised us by unveiling his new folder shown below along with a large assortment of Stellite blades (artistic ones at that!)..I like this direction!

Holger, Murray, and I had a great conversation with Tiz Pozzobon, who is regarded as one of the best engravers in the business…Holger had his eye on Tiz’s fantastic $8,000 folder! In the pic below, you can see Rod Olson and Wolfgang Loerchner (“Wolfe”) regarded as one of the top art knife makers in Canada (possibly worldwide??) in the background.

Anyone wanting to learn more about Tiz and his fine engraving should check out

Holger--Cockroach Farms brought hats for a few of the makers and Eric Elson admires his.

One-quarter of the Nova Scotia contingent, Don Bell artistically displayed his gentleman’s folders.

You got some great shots on day three. It is great to see what some of these makers look like and those knives look great.

RL nobody was suposed to know that I do artsy pieces. I keep that a deeep dark secret so I can surprise people when they come out to shows.

Thanks very much for your 3+ part review of the show. It was my wife's first visit to the CKG show. She wants to go to the fall show in order to sketch the "interesting two legged characters" as opposed to the steel ( and cobalt ) implements.
