CKGC slipjoints: opinions?

I've been looking at the CKGC (Custom Knife Gallery of Colorado) own brand of slipjoints. They are said to be entirely hand made, but there is no information about the maker. The knives look very good in their Web site, but for the prices charged I can buy a custom with the signature of the maker, which makes it much more personal and apealing to me. I would like to know if anyone has one of these knives and their opininons about them. Are they made by one particular maker, or are different shapes built by different makers? Does anyone know who the maker(s) is(are)?

Bottom line is that I'm trying to decide if they are worth the money, or if it is a better idea to stick with better known names. Thanks.

You should contact the owner of that website and ask him those questions. (Aside from whatever info our members may be able to provide.)

(I'm not trying to be facetious but that is your best[/i] source of information. And if it turns out later on not to be as expressed, you know who to go back to.)

I like to know whose work I am buying and having their name on the tang stamp as well as me knowing them personally (or by reputation) goes a long way.
