CKTG EP Apex Essentials kit, Shaptons thoughts

So on monday i ordered the epa essentials kit from cktg. For those of you unfamiliar with this, it includes Shapton glass stones in 500, 1000, and 4000. I added the 8k stone as well as atoma plate in 120. (Also balsa strops) What are your guys thoughts on these stones and the choice of stones? I am totally new to the epa but have extensive freehand experience. Will these fill the bill nicely in everyones experience on this system? Your thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated.
 
I hear shaptons are very good. I have not used them but they are highly talked about, say other knife forums more geared towards chefs.
 
Its a good set but i would add the 2k to your lot. What are you going to be putting on the balsa?
