i was just thinking how great (and highly unlikely) it would be if all gun/knife/freedom enthusiasts picked a state based on it's respectful non-invasive laws and ALL moved there, registered to vote, ran for local gvt., etc.

the rest of the country would suffer, but we'd have one helluva stronghold.

if the ball was already rollin and FL wasn't the 1st pick, i'd consider relocating to the new safe haven :D

the existing sheeple (in our new state) would prolly flee as we all rolled in, seeking the weapon free voids we left when exiting places that cost themselves our contributions through tyranny.
 
Definitely not NY. From my visits there, Nevada would seem to be the place..

uh.. in less i missed something or got some bad info. NH knife are stricter than ours (FL)

i know knife laws aren't the sole issue, but tax relief shoudn't be, either.

i haven't looked at their firearms laws yet, but ours are hard to beat as far as liberty goes.

interesting, though, that others have decided to group up somewhere. strength in numbers :)

They may well be... for the moment. I believe that the organization's intent is to get enough liberty minded people to move to NH that they can wrest control from the big government types. The ultimate goal is to start a national movement to force the federal government back into the limits imposed by the U.S. Constitution. That would be the end to all these unconstitutional knife and gun laws. Remember, the Constitution spells out the limits of the Federal Government's power. Any rights/powers not specifically granted to the Federal Government are retained by the People or the States (as the case may be). All rights belong to the People as a gift from God. The People then decide which of those rights they are willing to loan to government.

The Bill of Rights should not even have been necessary but, fortunately for us, the Anti-Federalists didn't trust a central government and insisted on including them. Despite the existence of these doucuments, the Government and Courts have long ignored the limits on the Federal Government and have also ignored the Bill of Rights, especially the 9th and 10th Amendments:

Amendment 9 - Construction of Constitution. Ratified 12/15/1791.

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.


Amendment 10 - Powers of the States and People. Ratified 12/15/1791.

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

(As an aside, I just noticed that the link I posted for the U.S. Constitution Online has had less than 9 million "visitors" in the past 11 years. That's pretty sad when you realize that my-space, or many of the porn sites, probably get more hits than that in a week. No wonder our country is so screwed up! :()
