Clamshell packaging...

I hate it. :grumpy:

I want to be able to check blade play and see how well the scales match on 110 and 112 models. Couldn't Buck at least put a clear window on the back so we could see both scales?

Are there any retailers carrying these knives in boxes anymore? :rolleyes:
 
The ones at Gander Mtn. are clam shell/leather sheath for the 110 and 119. Walmart has boxes, nylon sheaths.
 
Walmart has switched to clamsells in a lot of their stores and I'm assuming that is nationwide. I'm sure you can still find a few that still carry the box packaging however.
 
By the way I proposed the same idea of the window awhile back so I agree with you...the funny thing is...they don't need to do anything except just punch out a 110 shaped hole in the paper background. The plastic clamshell is already the window...how easy would that be? :)
