So I pulled the trigger and got a RD4. No use yet, went away with the Wife to return for the holidays.....or if I can convince her to get it for the upcoming camping trip and then give back till the holidays.
First, knife is a block of steel. Amazing weight, not for the extended outings I fear. I did wear the sheath for a bit to sense the balance on the side, and didn't feel any fatigue.
Second, the sheath rocks now! I read reviews that the sheath had velcro straps, the one I received has two straps, no velcro, and nice snaps on each. The front pouch easily fits my Leatherman, and the look is simular to the Becker sheaths just different material. The knife is secure in the sheath, and does not rattle at all.
Lastly, for now until use is given to this blade, the handles are a bit sloppy, but I expected this based on the other reviews. I'll sand them down for sure, very uncomfortable with a strong grasp. Color is good, dark around the handle screws.
Pictures to come tonight!
