clarification for ShopTalk regulars...

I've been asked to help out with the Himalayan Imports Forum as a Moderator. Bill Martino's health has declined and Rusty has not been around as much as he'd like to be. Plus, we've had a pesky troll.....anyway, long story short, I'm not a Moderator here in ShopTalk, just a plain-ole-Joe. If I could have it my way, I'd change my "status line" to say humble knifemaker.

I've already had a slew of comments and questions and I've only been "on the job" a few hours.

Kit - I apologize if this is causing any problems for you.

Darrel, I was one of the confused masses. I emailed Daniel to make sure Kit was OK. I hadn't heard from him for a while and was concerned that he was not well.

This forum is great about moderating itself, and for that I thank you guys.

I've not been posting alot lately. Not enough hours in the day with the Blade and Guild show so close. I'm still reading it though.

Kit is right. This is a great forum that does not need much attention.
Most of the folks here are diplomatic and understand how to act in public
So not much need to poke around.
The blade is coming and other cool military shows etc do thing are really busy!

Congrats Dan! I'll have to check that fourm out. After using one of your knives to test our 2x4 holding set up, I've kind of been thinking about getting one. Something about the way that thing chopped......

Thank you Darrel & Kit. Just wanted to make sure we all understood each other. I agree that ShopTalk seems to moderate itself. Folks are very serious here about what they do, but at the same time, not so intense like in other places.

Dan - you don't wear a belt anyway.....so what's the point?
