I understand that Automatic knives may not be transported across state lines per federal law unless certain conditions are met, but what happens after a dealer is legally in possesion of the knife. Are there laws prohibiting the sale by the dealer to some one not meeting the federal standard (police/military)? I'm from Maryland, but I wouldn't think the state would be important as I'm only talking about federal laws. I don't think there are any state restrictions on the sale. Thanks

I believe federal law only covers transport across state lines or into the country, so once it's in your state it'll be up to state and local laws. I don't know the laws for your state, but if they're legal there, and maybe even if they're not, you should be able to find one at a knife/gun store/show.
