Today I sold a knife. The thread dedicated to it was done, the knife was sold.

After that knife sold, I started a new thread for another knife I had for sale.

Tonight, after shipping the first knife, I went to lock the thread and saw that a mod moved the second knife into the thread that contained ONLY a previously sold knife. not only that, the posting is buried way down in the thread.

Can someone explain what rule I broke here and how to avoid having my active sale BURIED way down in a thread that contained only a previously sold knife?

I don't find this kind of thing very helpful to my premium membership status.

I consolidated your thread per forum guidelines.

SECTION 3 - Rules for Sellers / Traders / Service Providers (hereafter referred to as "Sellers"):

Consolidate your sales listings. Do not list single items in separate threads. This means 1 thread per day, per individual. You want to list multiple threads? Do them on separate days. We will not tolerate people spamming threads.

You must've posted them both on Monday, as they both were marked "yesterday" by the forum software.
I will unmerge them this time.

Per day could also be interpreted as once in a 24 period.

Could be what we used to call Sunday night for Monday, when we came in to work Sunday night 19:00 until Monday 03:30. Easy to lose track when what started out as sitting down at the computer Sunday becomes Monday before you shut down.

Per day could also be interpreted as once in a 24 period.

We could all go nuts trying to sort that out. If I post for sale at 18:00, do I have to wait till after 18:00 the next day? No, I can go again at midnight. Day just goes by date.

I don't worry about what i think it means, i go by what the software tells me it is.

Thank you for sorting this. I think this might be a time zone thing. Or maybe I posted the first one just after midnight?

Anyway, thank you for giving me a pass this time around.

I think just after midnight. The first thread was 4:0X my time, East Coast, so it was just after 1:00 on the West Coast.
