Clarification requested...

I am a new member to this forum. My purpose in joining was to learn something, and buy a knife or two along my journey. I thought I read the rules regarding memberships and came to the conclusion that I would be able to purchase knives but could not post anything for sale. Now I read these latest posts in the W&C section and am very confused. These threads are being closed with no resolution to my new question, "is it appropriate to have a Registered User membership and purchase items?" Thanks.

P.S. If this is considered a "rant" instead of a "General Q&A" please move.

Ignore that nonsense in W&C. No membership is needed to purchase knives here at Bladeforums.

W&C sometimes proves the old adage: Those who speak the loudest often say the least.
 
Yep, no membership needed to buy.
Gold or higher to sell.
At least a basic to trade.
 
Just as a heads up:

Do not take anything said in W&C seriously.
And don't go there at all if your skin is less thick than that of a rhinoceros.
