All the "little boy, playground drama" started over an "edit" that will happen again IF the same circumstances occur.
Too bad a chronological "adult" couldn't handle it in a mature manner.
I'll get to the specifics in a moment but first, a flurry of emails were sent my way where I explained (to the individual) in very clear understandable terms (for most) and it should have ended with that but, no.
Little games that obviously were intended to upset or anger insued.
IF an advertised individual who MODiFiES knives for a Fee ( services that are also performed by RHK as part of their business) posts Pics on THIS SUB-FORUM and titles his posts as "Hinderer Knives" so when the post appears via the photo link services as " Hinderer Knives By MODiFiER" and the knives pictured happen to be a smattering of regular as well as Customs and the treatments which were done at the Ranch happen to be services also provided by the individual thus creating an impression that maybe (just maybe) those knives were made to look that way by the individual rather than at the Ranch resulting in the "not so well informed" contacting the individual for services that result in a voided warranty - the post will be edited and the potential for misunderstanding - Negated. Period.
This was all explained to the individual and stated as " Understood the tagline is able to be edited by poster but if poster chooses to not - it will be "fixed". Magically hours later a "new" member joined our midst and included a video.
Not exactly a co-operative effort.
Some people get really miffed when their "creativity" is reined in. Too Bad.
This is RICK's Sub-Forum to BF and will be run to his liking as directed by Rob - NOT cry babies (or their minions)who resort to silly adolescent games when they don't get their way.
The Guideline Sticky is an issue for those who don't possess a modicum of manners or decency or maturity - it isn't a problem for people who conduct themselves as Adults.
I find it slightly amazing that someone is ok performing services on other peoples knives that result in a voided warranty BUT when it comes to his "own knife" Oh NO, pestering emails and public crys of being ignored occur becuase the expectation of immediacy is expected and voiding a warranty is a No-No when it's his privately owned knife.
Interesting.....
Anybody has an issue - Feel free to send me a PM or email and spare the rest of the enjoyment seeking/information seeking RHK forum members the exposure to the rediculousness.
The RHK Forum is an extension of RHK and needs to be held to the same standard as RHK. Unsavory, Rude, Self-Serving or adolescent behavior does not contribute to that end and will be invited to go do so elsewhere. Plenty of places that allow such shenanigans and even foster it.
The RHK Forum supporters deserve a drama-free zone and that is what will be provided to the degree possible.
BTW- To the "Forum Regulars" and Everyone who supports RHK and Rick/Robs Moderator Group of which I am a proud and privleged member - Thank You.
