This question is for who ever has a good answer.

I received a warning today for posting a sale for several Buck knives on the production knives sale page, all in one thread, as well as the Buck knife sales page.

I was told by Esav Benyamin(midnight moderator) that this is not allowed. I have to choose one or the other. I read the rules several times and couldn't find anything that said anything like that. Whether it is there or it isn't, I don't know.

The issue I have is that I collect Buck knives and frequent the Buck knife sales sub-forum page as well as the Buck knife sub-forum page. I rarely travel out of those pages. If I post a sale, only on the Buck knife for sale page, I limit exposure to those on the Buck pages (usally 5 to 15 viewers, average) if I post on the production knife sale page, I maximize viewers (50 to 120 viewers) If Buck collectors only frequent the Buck sites they won't see my sale post.

Question; What is wrong with posting a sale on multiple sales pages ie; Buck knife sale page, Production knife sale page and knife and tool trade page, for that matter?

i dont see anything in the rules prohibiting what you propose.

i also don't ever recall anyone ever asking about posting the same items in multiple threads.

as far as limiting buck items to the buck forum, that forum was created at the request of the buck forumites. it follows that all buck sales will be limited to that forum, unless there are other non buck items in the thread, and the seller will have to chose where to list the items.

im guessing a ruling from spark and a new rule is forthcoming.

The posting of multiple duplicate threads is not allowed anywhere on the site. In your case, they were clearly buck knives and should be posted in the buck knives for sale forum. On a site like this, with so many sales going on etc.... there must be organisation. If we allowed every poster such as yourself to post multiple threads for the same items, there would be chaos and the for sale pages would be useless.
