What is the moderators take on discussing country of origin of a blade, but then having a drawn out diatribe on China's politics. I've seen many threads shut down for this, imo rightfully so.

So is the stance that it's not welcome to mix into a thread this kind of talk, and are warnings/points issues for repeat offenders?

I titled this for China as it seems to really only happen when that specific country is brought up.

Thanks

Seems like the line is drawn when politics come into the discussion. Politics belong in the Political Arena.
If you cannot speak about country of origin without talking about the politics of said country, it may be best to not post at all.

Or start a thread about it in the PA. It would be pretty cool to add some knife content in there considering where we are.

If an authority figure tells you something is against the rules and you still persist requiring them to continually repeat themselves, the possible outcomes of what happens next should be clear.

Yes I agree with you a 100% I think we are saying the same thing. That's where I wonder if it needs to be spelled out a little clearer as it seems like there's more than a few who turn to a political conversation every time a China knife is brought up. That's where I wonder if warnings or points are provided to reinforce the need to separate it out.

9. Politics are a charged topic of conversation. As a result, we require that they be kept to the designated areas. Occasionally these rules may be relaxed with regards to knife related topics. The Moderators & site staff will make that determination & have sole authority to do so.

It is not possible for the mods to read every thread and every post. So, just because you see a political comment in a thread, that does not mean that it is within the rules.
If you see politics in a post, please report it, so the mods can look at it.

Definately, I appreciate it.
