Anyone use these or familiar with them? Looks like they have some interesting features.

Like Erik said, I bought one last Saterday. I need an extra grinder also for surface grinding and was surprised by the quality. I must admit that "made in Bulgaria" was not a confidence builder at first. But these guys know what they are talking about and are great to deal with. The machine is build right and has some nice features! They told me that they are working on a US version, the one I have uses 30mm square tooling arms. They are designing a version that will accept 1.5" tooling arms.

The hart of the machine is a solid piece of aluminium that is milled in a H shape. This piece will accept the tooling arms and is the base for tension arm. The H piece is mounted to a fixture that will rotate, tilt and enables you to swivel the grinder in a horizontal postition.

The fixture is mounted on a base that allows some clearence for the motor wenn it is in the horizontal position. The base has a little drawer for some stuff and holds the electronics to turn it on etc. It comes with Frequence control and a 2 HP motor. A nice touch is that the base has an extra outlet so you can attach a lamp or vacuum machine.

All the wheels are made in house, also the contactwheels. They make some huge ones, the biggest is 20 inches I believe. I have yet to work with the machine. So I will post more wenn I have done some work with it. But first impressions are really good.

Just watched a video on this, and i gotta say, wow for $1,800 and change in US currency, that is one hell of a featured machine. If build quality is solid this could def be my second grinder down the road after its been put through it's paces by some more folks.

That looks very well made! I like that it can tip over on its side. I want a third grinder and this one I will have to keep in mind.

I was in talks with these guys a little while back. I suggested making the switch to 1.5" tooling arms to accommodate all the existing tooling thats out there. Its nice to see that they are going to be doing that.

Beautiful machines. Very nice guys.

Thanks for the advise and great pics! I am new to bladesmithing and would like to upgrade my 1x30..

Hi Tony
How did it turn out with the Glaryx grinder.
Best regards from Denmark Max

Hi, one just arrived 2 weeks ago. I am amazed. The whole machine is precise & rocksolid, absolutley nothing moves. The wheels feel like they stole bearings from a spacecraft. The Parts feel heavy and very nicely machined. The tracking mechanism works like a charm so far, even in reverse belt direction, its also very solid. The Toolarms (wich are solid aluminum) obviously get marks from the Screws pretty fast. It didnt bother me so far, just want to mention it. Woud i recommed it? Absolutley it is a piece of Art. If you guys have any questions about it will try to answer them. My version is a 50x2000mm (1.96 x 78.74 inches) with a 3hp Motor.

not shure actually... the steel looks a lot darker than it is in reality and the file slips... still i guess not.

I'm about to purchase one of these and would love to get your feedback after having it for a few years. It looks amazing and the price is definitely fair.

Thanks for the post!

I have one and I'm very happy with it.
It is build like a tank and the maker communicates well.

This is disappointing Natlek.....you always build such creative belt grinders out of spare parts that I can't quite conceive of you buying one! Do another build!!
