Class Pictures

Nice job guys. Now I am looking forward to user pics!

The class was great. I really enjoyed the whole weekend. The experience alone was worth the cost of admission. John's teaching style was really relaxed, but effective.
We were shown each step on a knife he made alongside us, then we would try our hand at it. John was always nearby to provide help or advice, but we were allowed the freedom and time to try things on our own and to get a feel for each step.
It was a nice, relaxed environment, which was made even better by having a great group of guys to hang out with during the process.

Sorry for showing you all a bunch of picstures of me, but that's what I'm going to do.

Grinding the pattern out of the blank.

Drilling pin holes.

Pin holes done; ready to grind the bevels.

Roughing out the bevels.

Ready for heat treating.

Shaping the scales under Jeff's approving eye.

All done!

As I said, the experience was amazing. I learned a lot, had fun, and got to come home with a truly one of a kind knife. It's an experience that I highly recommend.

The best part of these classes for me is hanging out with people with the same interests as me. There is always plenty of time to visit while others are working on their blades, I try to keep these classes fun and "stress free."

All awesome knives, Parker's looks really interesting. Looking at the before heat treat photo my eyes locked on to the drop point knife, then I realized why.

That handle on Parker's is awesome:thumbsup:. Reminds me of the Folding Hunter knives.

That came out nice! I was very pleased with everyone's knives, it was a great class.

Very cool - made me remember the class I was able to attend - fun stuff and I agree with all that was said above.

A very worthwhile experience.

best

Good looking blades everyone! Jealous, of course. If I but lived a little closer...

I know the feeling - such a long drive...hopefully John does not retire before the boys and I cam make our pilgrimage, it looks and sounds like fun.
