So with spring really here, Karen and I took out the Vespa's for a nice ride out in the country. Her sister Diane joined us on her LX150, and we did some cruising. The PX150's were running in fine form, but during the afternoon, Di noticed that Karen's brake light was not working anymore. It had been, but it went belly up.

We pulled over for some lunch and afterward I used the SD tip of my classic to take off the taillight cover of Karen's scooter. The taillight was working, but the bulb for the brakelight was gone.

Finding an open NAPA parts place, I got a replacement bulb that looked identical, and that was it. It was now working. I used the classic SD tip to replace the light cover and we were on the road agian.

Yes, there was a tool kit in the govebox of both scooters, but I just felt like seeing if the classic SD nailfile could reach down into the recess to unscrew the little but long phillips screws holding the taillight cover. It did.

Classic; an amazing little tool.

Nice Story,Jackknife!

If you're anything like the Vespa folks I know, you're gonna need something with a bottle opener too. :D

I use the SD tip on the nailfile blade to open my beers. Just put the SD tip under the crimps and twist gently, and work your way around the top. It loosens and come right off. A car key also works well as does my Bic lighter.:D

Improvise, adapt, and overcome, and you get maximum minimalisim.

Never had that occurred to me. I am impressed. Still prefer the Rambler cap lifter, though, and of course, the magnetized little PH screwdriver that comes with it, the only vic driver I ever liked.

And, you gotta like that the Rambler's blade is on the end that's opposite of the key ring.
