While searching for a decently priced used Randall Bowie I stumbled across a picture of a Randall Knives catalogue with their rendition of a Musso Bowie,

Is it real? That is the only picture or mention I could find of it. Who wants to sell me one? I'll settle for pictures.

The knives shown on the right were 'One of a kind' made for a collector many years ago.

Forgive my ignorance, but which one of those is supposed to look like the Musso bowie?

Here is my Smithsonian Bowie with an older Model one next to it for size comparison. The Model 1 was in Sheldon's Randall Knives a Reference Book page 119.

Glad to see recent interest in Randall Made Knives, been using and collecting since mid 80's also met Bo, Gary and Pete in 1985. They were are such gentlemen and patriots. Bo gave me a personal tour of his museum, I will never ever forget that rare opportunity to meet the legend in person!

Wow.....
That knife is even more impressive than I thought... If only....

I've always loved Randall knives, they have an entirely unique appearance.

I think I'll be getting myself a Sergeants model as I finished my Marine Corps career a Sgt.

tltt- I hate you for posting those...;)

How appropriate gruntinhusaybah, that model would certainly be a great way to cap off such a significant career. Bo was such a patriot as well as Gary. After using and collecting for more than 35 years I can pick a Randall off a table of hundreds of knives in seconds, they all have as you say that unique appearance. Here is one of my favorites that I carried for a number of years while on a large SWAT Team, especially when engaged in air rescue/assaults.

This model is the number five Marine/Navy airman survival knife. 5 inch SS blade with saw teeth, brass double guard, black commando handle, radiused butt cap, with thong hole.

Thank you for your service!
