I have a NIB 510 never used etc.. Polished Drop point blade.. Got it around 81-83.. Not looking for value/sale.. Just would like to know anything/all about it.. What ever yinz can tell me would be greatly Appreciated!! THANKS!! :D John

The 111 came out in 81-82 time frame with a 3 dot blades and the other models followed. There were 4 models in that series: the 111, 510, 513 & 515. They had nice tooled sheaths. They were discontinued in 89 and brought back in the 90's. Then closed again. The 510 is a real looker with it's 3" shapely drop point blade. Be glad you have one as they are hard to find. DM

Those 510's are great knives. I have 2 of the 111's. One is NIB, the only knife I own that I won't use. The second I got broken for $10 +$10 for a new blade. It sees use when I dress up. It rides nice in a back pocket.

Their charm for me anyways is that they are over the top gaudy. They were a product of their time they came out of the Rhinestone Cowboy days. I remember my Grampa had an aluminum cigarette case with the same type of scroll work completely covering it. Seemed like everyone had a cowboy hat and a huge belt buckle. Fancy scroll (and turquoise) were in style for sure.

Seems to me they were taylor made to be a presentation knife. So most of the used ones will have engraving on them. Which in itself doesn't bother me. What does bother me is the blank scroll is flowing, and usually the engraving is just in a straight line.

Anyway nice knife.

Northeast TN?

In NE TN they say yunz (short form of you uns) and it sometimes comes out as yinz.

They say that in Pittsburgh too, just a matter of what dialect yinzer you're dealing with.
