Classic looking fixed EDC's?

I've been looking at different EDC knives for a while trying to figure out what I want. I want a fixed blade to carry with me all the time so my SAK can be left for 'dirty' work. What I want the knife to do is food prep, game prep, and bushcrafty wood working. It has to have under a 3.5" blade and I'd prefer it to be less than 7" OAL but I'm a little flexible there.
Knives I've been looking at are the Fiddleback EDC, Stomper Anniversary, and RAT RC3 to name just a few but was wondering if there were more traditional styles out there as well. So are there any traditional knives out there that fit the bill?

Western made BSA sheath knife with a 4" blade, 7.75" overall. (60's)

Next to a KaBar little fin. (new)

Check out the Makers for sale forum, lots of great knives at good prices.

That little finn is a nice one but I'm looking for something just a wee bit smaller. I'm really shooting for something with a 3 inch blade, plus or minus a half inch if it's a gotta haver.

Bark River makes a pretty complete line of knives. When you throw "bushcrafty" into the mix, they are one of the first brands that comes to mind.
The Blackjack Small is a good knife that just meets your size requirements.
The Fallkniven WM1 would be another possibility, as would the Boker Game Hunter.
The Boker CPM S60V knife is another one.

There are some Westerns that are smaller than Peters. I have a few, but I can't take pics because my stupid new camera is on the blink
IRC they are around 6 3/4 inches overall.

The smaller ones are usually a little harder to come by though.

As already mentioned, Bark River makes some great knives. They range from approx 5 inches overall and up. The nice thing about BRK'S is that there are so many choices for scale material

The knifemakers on here are artists, and most of them, I've found, really enjoy re-creating the older styles. I would check out some of the designs in the Makers For Sale area, and ask around in the Makers area, and WSS.

Also, Bark River has a lot of traditional designs. Kabar and Case are still producing their smaller fixed blades, which seem to be quite popular at the big store outfitters.

I personally am not a fan of the scandi grind, but love the leuku/puukko and saami designs. When I was deciding whether I wanted scandis or not, I was alternating between a small Kellam and Helle. I forget the names :o.

I really like Case's little Finn. I think it may be a bit smaller than Ka-Bar's. It's a teeny little thing- go much smaller than that and you won't have much of a knife left! (It's a 3 finger knife).

Great size for EDC, except for someone like me with Grizzly bear paws for hands. I really like that one, but it is a two finger for me :D.

Look at Blind Horse Knives. Each month, they offer a special deal. This month's looks pretty nice, and I'm a little disappointed that I've already blown my knife budget for November, or I'd pick one up.

Their small workhorses and patch blades look traditional, and would make great choices.

Queen Cutlery do a range of Amber Bone fixed/sheath knives. Not sure if D2 steel can yet assume the mantle of 'Traditional' yet though....www.queencutlerycollectors.com

Bark River's been mentioned, good knives but thick knives even when small, Bushcraft of course but slicing can be compromised by the thickness.
