I have been trying to get a large Micarta Sebenza for a while, and found one finally, but it's for $530. I don't know if it being a "classic" makes it more expensive, or if this is a good deal. Should I keep looking or bite the bullet?

I think 450.ish would be a more realistic price, just depends how bad you want it.

Just for a tease.:D

Now that is a beautiful knife! That just may convince me to wait for one with a damascus blade. I offered $485 and was declined, so the search goes on. Thanks for the pic. :D

I wouldn't pay over 475. It being a classic might add a little but I think it's so high because of demand.

These things have been so hard to find, I had enough trouble finding my reg sebbie. Even if I get a micarta one, I will most likely just search for one with damascus anyway, so might as well kill two birds with one stone!

I paid $420 for mine not a week ago( of course it was a 21).Keep an eye on the exchange as thats the place to find them.Alot of sweet CRKs have beencoming up lately.

...just a thought, you are willing to pay $485, whats $45 more when its something that you really want and is quite difficult to find, just a thought is all.

Thanks for all the replies, that cleared my questions up about the worth of the classic to the 21. And your right, $45 compared to $485 doesn't seem like much, but that's already overpaying with the $485. I just have trouble justifying that much. I would order one directly, but I'm pretty sure it would come with the dreaded stamp... I am a perfectionist, almost to an OCD point, and that stamp just throws off the minimalist style to the knife. If it were a user it would be different, but until I misplace my current Sebenza it will be an art piece. I know, crazy, but if I'm paying that much...

the Classic model isn't all that minimalist. It says "Classic MM" in huge letters on the handle

I would look in the Sales/Exchange forum. I just got a Large Micarta 21 (without stamp) for $400.
