Hi, I've been swinging an axe for about 20 years now, but never actually owned one. And after spending a bunch of time on youtube, and these forums, I went for the granfors bruks american felling axe. Now I'm wondering if this is just the result of the "hand hammered" axe head, or if this is a QC issue that slipped through the cracks. Looking for some feedback from the experts. My real concern is the last photo, the blade just doesn't look straight... but maybe I'm an idiot and it's fine. You tell me. Thanks so much.

Looks fine to me. Sighting down the bit you ideally want a line drawn to pass through both the heel and toe to run true to the centerline of the handle, but a slightly less than perfect hang won't be noticeable in use.

Dave, welcome to the axe forum. In the last photo that ax looks to have a bow in the cutting edge. The toe & heel are not in alignment. You could correct that with a file during sharpening over time if it bothered you. Or let it go. As it will still cut wood and split. DM
