Just got my Classic Sebenza today.

Check it out!

(I was so excited, I just plopped it on the scanner here at work. I couldn't wait to share some pics with you guys.:D)

Is there any reason you don't want to show use the Damascus part of it? Let's get that blade open!

Architect - you are way too fast, man :D

Beautiful Knife.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks a lot like Devin Thomas Raindrop damascus.

Enjoy it in good health :)

Either the people that have stated that they your knife sucks are blind or they are joking. Then again, I guess that some people could really think that this knife sucks. I am not one of them. Great knife.

You are correct! I pull this knife out of my pocket (yes it is now my EDC) about every 15-30 minutes to examine the great damascus work. Ever looked at one of these through a magnifying loupe? I have looked through an 8X loupe at this blade and it is neat! The layering is really wild under magnification.

Thanks.:) I put that in there as a sarcastic, "I'm jealous" remark. At least, I hope that's what it means.:D:D

I've seen many-a-thread, though, where folks just go on at length about how much they hate damascus. Personally, I don't like ladder pattern, and random pattern is my favorite. However, this raindrop pattern is quite beautiful, and is a close second.

Thanks to all for chiming in with their comments. (of course, I like the praise the most:D:D)

Since you asked, I voted that the knife sucks... why?

The grain on the wood is terrible in peices that small... maybe it looked better in a bigger chunk. Also, why is the lock tab and clip ugly grey **** bead blasterd, while the rest of the knife handle has a satin finish? That throw the looks of the knife way off. Looks really tacky.

The damascus, on the otherhand, is very very nice. I am not a fan of damascus, and this stuff looks good.

I am going to have to strongly disagree with the last poster about the this knife looking "tacky" In my humble opinion, I saw the knife, and looked at the wood, and thought "that looks very cool" I like the way the grain is slightly different on both of the little 'slabs'... as to the part about the different finishes on the Ti handle.. I love it. I'm sure everyone has their opinion on what a "beautiful" knife is a ll about... But this one gets my "two thumbs up" I just wish I had three thumbs... then it would get the "three thumbs up" award. And the Damascus is friggin GEORGEOUS!

Someday, I too will own a knife with damascus blade... I find it quite appealing.

One thing that no-one has picked up on is the more-than-ample amount of room around the thumb stud. This makes for a quick flipper and is soooo fun to play with. I've had others that were difficult at best to get to flip open easily. Either the action was sticky, or the thumb stud was "impacted", or too close to the scale.

Not this one. Flips open real easy with a solid "Thwack!". Instills confidence for sure!:D

The geometry of this knife is such that I have to "choke up on the bat" a little, in order to one-hand flip it open. It's a bit larger and longer than it may seem.

However, now that I'm used to it, it seems very natural.

Those of you who voted Huh? Whats that?...you don't like knives. No need, unless you are joking, to be here.:barf::barf:

i voted it sucks. It needs a wave...

i've had 2 sebenzas before. i like them for trade fodder. nothing works like a sebenza except cash.

I'll say though, if emerson did not come out with the wave, I'd have a lefty and righty sebenza on me right now.

can we all have a party at your house to celabrate about your new knife?? I'll bring the chips and pop!!:D

Seriously,
where can I contact the maker to get my own?
