Anyone had the wood inlays replaced by them? I've been thinking about making a small Classic woody different/more unique with some exotic looking stone inlays. Anyone had this done? How durable is the stone as far as cracking/chipping? (I'll be passing through Sante Fe next week)

I have wondered many times why Santa Fe has not done any.
I may have to ask about having my old bocote done in dino bone at Blade.

I just sent them an email and am waiting for a reply. If they can do it and the price is reasonable, I'll drop it off when I pass through Sante Fe next week. I called CRK and they charge $150-200 for wood, $300 for ivory and $400 for bark ivory.

Hi Richard,
This knife does not lend itself well to our type of inlay. First, the knife
is bead blasted, which means we have to prefinish our work and then attach
to the knife.. We normally attach our handles and then grind the whole
knife.
So, with that in mind is would be several hundred dollars for dinosaur bone,
a little less for mammoth ivory.
It's a great knife and I understand you wanting to dress it up more, but
it's not really conducive to our style of work.
Thanks,
Bill Wirtel & family
