I've been looking for a classic style bowie to buy as a present for a relative. The knife will be mostly just a decoration piece/addition to collection but i wouldn't be suprised if it sees some time camping and hunting. Any good ideas for knives around 50 - 60 bucks (or less) or any opinions on the knives i've found.
Some of my ideas are:

Hen and Rooster Cowboy

Hen and Rooster Big Bowie

Marbles Damascus Bowie

Marbles Mtn. Man Bowie

Marbles Large Hunter Bowie

Any help would be appreciated

i cant help you with the knives you listed or that price range for a good user bowie that is classic style. my mind starts to think cs laredo bowie or a bark river or some other higher end user. but at the price limit and limiting it to a classic style, i would be afraid to call anything in your limits anything other than a wall hanger.

hmmmm... only $50 to $60 for a classic styled bowie? ....that may see actual use?

That's going to be a tough one. These are about the closest to that description that comes to my mind though when I think big, cheep, classic looking, bowies that "may" be somewhat usable:

Good luck though!

If I had to get a Windlass (Atlanta Cutlery) Bowie I'd probably go with the 1850. I like the look, esp the coffin handle.
