Classic woody sebenza

Hi all. I'm sorta new to the CRK products having once owned a large sebenza a few years ago. I'm thinking of picking up a large wood inlaid classic in the next week or so. I've seen several with different woods and have yet to find a dislike with any of the woods. I think ironwood is the one I'll try to go with if it is still available on the site I was looking at. Only one question; I was reading a post over in the general section and a mention was made of a new tactical type sebenza coming out soon? Did I read something true, or something that was wishful thinking? Thanks for any help or leads!

Yes.....,if I'm not mistaken,Chris Reeve wil come out with two new knives before the end of this year....,one of them will be a new folder.
No info yet on what kind of folder.....,could very well be a new Umfaan.
 
I have heard several predictions of what the next CRK knife will be, and none of these predictions were stated with any confidence or claim of unofficial knowledge. None of the predictions I've heard were of a new, tactical-type Sebenza.

Can you post the reference you saw?

I believe it was. Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll go ahead and get a large woody classic anyway and wait and see on the new product. The more I look at these the more I can't wait to get one!:thumbup:
 
When I talked to Heather from CRK about the new folder, she was very mum about ANY details regarding the new folder including its price. The only thing she would cop to is that it would be "in line with their other products".:eek:
 
What ever it is I hope to see it at the January Shot show in Orlando, FL

I assume that is where it may be shown for the first time.
 
All I know is, that I pray that I WILL have the funds for it when the NEW CRK arrives!!!
 
Maybe a 3 1/2" Mnandi? How cool would that be?

Actually not. The Harsey folder project it independent of Chris's products. Or so I was told. There are two now knives that will be out the begining of the year. My true hunch is a newer version of the Umfaan and maybe a different fixed blade. But no one knows for sure.

The way I put it when ordering was...."Put me down for the new folder, as long as it's NOT an Umfaan". I've never been to fond of the little knife, though I do own one. They serve their purpose, but on much lower scale than the Sebenza; IMO
 
Just received an email from Heather at CRK and I'm now in line for the new knife. She did say not to get my hopes up that it would be coming out soon. But hey, this will be alright as I'll have time to save up for it. No one gave any warning about these CRK's being addictive!
 
I will receive on Monday a Small blodwood sebenza direct from CKR that I ordered the 1st of November. From order to delivery was about 4 weeks.
