I am looking for a nice wooden fixed blade for under $100. Something that comes with a leather sheath. Something like the Benchmade Outbounder, ideally. I am just trying to find other options.

Thanks.

You definitely need to check out Bark River Knives. There are tons of handle options (will even put your own scales on a knife) and the knives are extremly well made. Great fit and finish and customer service is second to none. Colonial Patch knife w/gold elder burl scales pictured below. ($112 dollars)

Bark River indeed. Lots and lots of options there.

Also, don't forget the Alaskan Guide Buck Vanguard, which comes in S30V, a fantastic steel with a Bos heat treat.

The rosewood handled version of the Vanguard comes with a leather sheath.

Another vote for Bark River. Good knives, good variety and good prices. I am sure that you will be able to find some thing to suit you. From what I have heard, also great after sales service.

These don't come with sheaths right? Where could I purchase one for a Bark River knife that you all would recommend?

All the Bark Rivers knives that I have come with sheaths. I don't recall any that doesn't.

Without knowing your preference, I'd suggest the Grohmann #4.. I have one and love it, if that's too big, then the #1 or #3 will fit the bill.. These knives will all be within your budget and they are handmade and can be customized, you can pick your desired steel, handle material and leather sheath style.. These are practical knives built to be used.
