I have been a fan of Claude's knives for a few years now.
I just received notice that the fighter he was making for me has been completed. Needless to say, I am very happy how it turned out.
Beautiful Knife Claude! Thank You.

When I first saw this blade profile and handle shape I thought it was a little unusual but I liked it.
The more I look at the photos the more I like the knife. I am really looking forward to when it arrives to see if it will feel as comfortable in hand as it looks. The blade is a 450 layers damascus with ladder pattern , 10 inches long and the handle material is stabilized Hawaiian Koa.

I think that is a very cool blade shape

Handle and guard are very nicely done, and of course, I love the Koa

Congrats!

nice knife. I just have to ask, what does Koltan mean? (like, the knife looks great, but why do we have to fight Koltan with it?)

As far as I know that is a name Claude gave for this style of knife. Like how Sam L. has his Hurak Fighter.
On Claude's FB page he is making shorter ones with a different guard and then the larger ones like mine.

Here is a photo of a shorter one he made with Koa. (not mine)

Another Belgian and not the last Claude is also an artist in his field,
If I moved to Belgium do you think my knife making would suddenly become as amazing as some of our Belgian makers? [emoji6]

Sadly, I doubt it...

But at least I know where to go when I need inspiration! Great knife [emoji3]
