CLAUSING - Central Location!

Central location? Man, that thing is over 2500 miles away!

Now, if you could find me one out here on the northwest coast.............:D

I just emailed the seller on this to find out what spindle taper it uses and it is a Brown & Sharpe #7. This looks to be a very nice small mill.

Not to put a damper on anyone's hopes but be certain you can get all the tooling you think you will need. The B&S #7 is not the most popular taper in the world and as many a machinist will tell you the major investment for most machine tools ends up in the tooling not the machine.

Gargh! This is a definitely a damper, Allen, and a huge oversight on my part. B&S#7 can be difficult to find. Other Clausings have a better spindle taper in Morse#2, which I assumed this one was. My bad. John 14CM, I'd be definitely sure that mill comes with a full set of collets and because of the spindle taper, I would only go $1000 on it.

with the early bidding on it, I'd be surprised if you get for $1000.00 it's at $615.00 right now and it's got 3 day left
keep in mind
a used J head Bridgeport can be had many times for $1500.00

This is true, Dan. I'm doing heads up on these Clausings because they are a good compromise for the folks with limited shop space. Without a doubt the BP is a better machine.

Wow! Nice find Jeff! That thing is in my neck of the woods. About 15 mins away from my shop!!
