I took a spill yesterday on the way to work. I had all my gear on, but still ended up with bumps, bruises and a broken left collar bone. :(

I was going through a round-about and slid out on some slick overflow from a garbage truck. Thankfully I was going slow and the traffic behind me was light and a ways off. I think most of the damage was to the left side of both the bike and myself. The bike should be repairable and I am on the mend. One of the Good Samaritans who stopped took some pictures for me. The windscreen, tank, left foot controls and seat seem to gotten the worst of it.

Knob Creek is now questionable for me. I'll have to wait till next week to see if I feel up to the 12 hour drives and long days. :grumpy: What a bummer!

WoW!
I'm sorry to hear this. I'm glad it wasn't more serious and I hope you have a speedy recovery so you can make it next week. Please keep us updated

Glad you're okay Drew,

and I'm sure there's a couple Minnesota hogs that are going that wouldn't mind taking you if you don't feel up to making the ride.

Hope you collar bone heals quick.

I'll definitely keep everyone updated. Won't be going in to work this week so I will have plenty of time to hang out here while I mend.

Thanks All!

dang man, that is crappy, take care and hope that you get to feeling better, it looks like it could have been a whole lot worse...

Holy Crap Drew! Glad you had some gear on that helped protect you from more serious boo-boos!!

Now where are the pics of the tears and scratched Drew? heheh

Ok, we dont need to see them.

Get better soon Bro!

Ouch,

Real glad you're ok Drew !!!

Welcome to the club, broke my left clavicle in a MC crash in 79 !

Yea man, sorry to hear about your misfortune. A broken clavicle can be VERY painful, so I hope it wasn't a bad break. Take care while on the mend.

no es gusto! heal quick, man, and take care of that collar bone. smoke up!

OUCH! I've taken my share of spills off my Harley and they are no fun, especially when its the idiot in the cage's fault. :grumpy:

Sit tight and let it heal, you will be much happier in the long run. :D

Drew, glad to hear you're on the road to recovery. I know how painful a broken collar bone can be, I'm out 6 months from my break and it still can be somewhat sore on some days. Smoke up from Idaho! Get well soon.

That sucks man. I am glad you had your gear on. It makes the difference. We have peeled a couple of people off the road with no gear or helmets this last year.

I am so happy that you are ok Drew! Take it easy and heal up fast, Knob Creek wants you there! :)

Sorry to hear this, brother. I know just what that feels like ... having both spun out on a cycle (age 17) and had both clavicles busted (various football injuries). Get treatment, rest, and get better.

We'll keep the INFI warm for you.:)

The important thing is that you are okay, so that's good. Sorry to hear of your misfortune and wishing you a speedy recovery.
Dan

Sorry to read the story, but glad to hear that you are ok! I am a believer in the gear...

Well wishes to a full and speedy recovery!
