A while back I was reading a blade magazine and came across a custom set of claws that went on the hand like nightmare on elm street movies. The claws were fully sharpened and I beleve the maker called it the couger, but i'm not sure. Anyway I would like to buy one of the sets or something similar. any idea on where to find one or for how much?

You can probably get something cheaper than by a maker. The gloves are actually meat packers gloves.Check online in those areas.

I seem to remember those in an old issue of Blade. If memory serves (and it fails quite often :) ) I think Pat Crawford did a set. I could be way wrong, but I think thats it. Anybody have all the old issues they could check to conform?

the thing is I want the quality that comes with an expert maker. I don't want some jimmy-rigged garage made BS. and I don't care if it is true to the movie. I want fully functional claws. Also razor sharp!
I would also want them to fit the hand well and tightly. Basicly i'm sayin they need to be able to perform. To me there is no point to a knife with no edge or that is meant display. All the knives I own even the one's that i don't use are functional. and this is what i am looking for in the claws

maybe it was crawford and that may be why I thought of the name couger. anyway the ones i saw were realy nice and mean looking

IIRC, the Crawford one was in the thousands. Like 3,4,5 thousand or something like that.

Thanks guys I may have to settle for something else. but that one was great. if I had the money it would be at my house

Just what is ANY possible function for something like this? Are you cuttin' weeds on the roadside? Seriously... it's things like this that give the sheeple more ammo when they see someone "displaying" one of these on their hand. Unless this is a wall hanger, I see no need for one.

It would be a wall hanger. But I don't own a dull or a piece of sh#$% knife and I don't intend to start now. Do you want a dull knife in your colection?

I'm glad you only want a Freddy Kreuger glove and not one of those phallus knives like the guy used in se7en.

While we are on the subject, where can you find the type of claws Wolverine use and what are they usually called?

Wolverines, claws are a part of his skeleton, he was born with them, and due to some sort of top secret project and his special healing abilities, he was able to survive a process which bonded adamantium(the second toughest substance in the marvel universe next to the adamantium alloy in captain americas sheild I beleive) to his skeleton. NO regular human could ever get a set of claws like wolverines. I always thought it would be cool if somone made some sort of triple bladed otf auto that you could attach to your wrist so you could flick claws out like wolverine does. I spent way to much time reading X-men stuff when I was much younger. I know I am pathetic for knowing this stuff, please dont rub it in:)

Isn't that true, I'm as old as the books and I grew up with 'em. They were great then and not too bad now. But then again, Wolverine is the best there is at what he does, isn't he?

If you keep an eye out occasionally on Ebay, there is a guy that sells an excellent looking wearable prop made of plastic, with a set of gloved hands as a stand. The only issue is that they cost around $350. Then, if you do a google search, you'll find a guy at dragonforge(?) that also makes them. None are made of metal though, although someday I'll get me a set.

Whoa that we're all not built with our own built in knives.;)
