Here's a camp knife I just finished. I was inspired on the handle by Claudio Cas. This was my first time attempting carving like this and I have to say, for me it was kind of a PITA. It took me a lot of time. Glad to be done with it. :)

1080+ steel, clay quenched
11 1/2" overall, 6 1/2" blade
.225" at the ricasso tapers to 3/32" at the butt end of the handle
False edge
Tapered tang
Missouri Black walnut scales with lots of feather pattern
Brass bolts

Wow, you nailed that one! Every detail is perfect. The scooped tail and the sculpted scales were really nice touches...

Very nice work friend, I am glad to have been inspiration for the handle of this knife, thank you very much.
Best Regards.
Claudio

I'm glad someone from another country copy a line with as much personality as he does this! I had the pleasure of seeing as they do and truly is amazing to see work Claudio and Ariel.
I liked the idea and the initiative of J. Doly, so I want to congratulate him and the cas!

Very good job!
Greetings.

This is extremely well done. The whole knife flows and is very pleasing to my eye. All the little details add to the overall package. Great job.

John it is clear you hit a home run here that is a fine looking camp knife very nice

The handle may have been a pain, but it turned out awesome.
I hope we see more like this from you in the near future.
You did a great job on sculpting and finishing the handle.
