Here's a camp knife I just finished. I was inspired on the handle by Claudio Cas. This was my first time attempting carving like this and I have to say, for me it was kind of a PITA. It took me a lot of time. Glad to be done with it. :)

1080+ steel, clay quenched
11 1/2" overall, 6 1/2" blade
.225" at the ricasso tapers to 3/32" at the butt end of the handle
False edge
Tapered tang
Missouri Black walnut scales with lots of feather pattern
Brass bolts

Beautiful tool. The raised ridges of the walnut handle look perfect - nice work!
 
Beautiful job! The subtlety of the handle carving is excellent! Love the hamon also! Amazing. Love it!
 
Beautiful knife John.
I say do more knives with sculpted handles.
It might be a lot of work but this one really turned out nice.
It looks to me like you might have a knack for this sort of thing.
