I got the newest issue of Blade in the mail today and was happy to see that it has an article about Chad. I hope this will lead to even more people becoming users and fans of CLB designs.

Congratulations bro, the recognition is very well deserved.:thumbup:

Congrats Chad!!

What are they saying in the article i'm in Europe and dont know if i can get loose items?
Is it the october or september issue jujigatame?

;)

copied article would be welcome.. hint..

Mahalo much guys,

I have not seen the article yet...I am praying that Border's still has them on the shelves. They are more or less the ONLY place that carries BLADE here.:(

Um...Maarten, IF I manage more than one copy, I will send one off to you. Want it autographed?:D (kidding...kidding.)

God bless ALL!

Wonderful news. :) Say, Chad, I was just in your lovely home state for a week - brought my M-type and SubCom (for the swimsuit, don't you know?) along for cutting fruit and such. What great chow you all have there! (Say, are you any relation to the Chef Roberto Los Banos at the renowned Bali by the Sea restaurant there in Honolulu?)

Anyhow, I came home and decided to try a recipe for faux kalua pig (made in the oven). It called for slashing a pork shoulder (to rub in other ingredients)! What fun - out came the M-type, which turns out to be really good at this sort of thing. Who would have thought? ;)

Can't wait to go back, and yours were the only sharp objects I brought with me.

Aloha Erich,

Ahhhhhhh...what a great picture!!! Is that Rabbit Island by any chance? I miss Oahu, although I do not think I could live there again. It has changed much...or maybe I have changed.;)

YUP...that chef is my cousin. I never would have thought he'd end up as a chef, but then again, who'd have thought I would get picked up by Boker AND Spyderco?:o

Glad ya had a great time, thanks for packing only CLB's, and how'd that Kalua turn out? (Mmmmmmmmmm...Kalua pig...one of my damn faves!!! *droooooooool*)

God bless and take care!

Pig came out good! :D Even here at 6000 feet above sea level in the desert!

I'm afraid I don't know the name of that feature - it's a pic I took walking up Lē'ahi one morning. Man, I almost sent back into the kitchen to ask if the chef was related to you! My wife told me not to bother a man who was working, though. :grumpy:

You raise another good point, though: I've got to visit a Spyderco seller . . . ;) Thanks again for the functional art that you bring to us; having you with us is certainly one of God's blessings, so God bless you! :)
