As the title says, what CLB design variants would you like to see?

As for mine:
  • All Black Wharcom (PE!)
  • Full SE Subclaw
  • All Black Subcom FB (PE or SE)
  • All Black PE Trance (and MPT for that matter)
  • Wharncliffe MPT
 
A Trance with a dead straight plain edge pointy wharncliffe blade.
Maybe a 4 inch Drop Point Trance.
 
Hmmmmm, for me it'd be to become a full time designer and part time officer as opposed to full time officer and part time designer...that'd be the best job variant and...

Oh...what? We're talking about KNIFE variant wishes?:confused:

A warnie trance would be nice too;)

But first i want a trance drop a M-type and a subclaw.

I'll go with:
All black Subcom PE
All black Wharcom PE
All black DP Trance PE
And, heck, I'll be happy when the plain old "ordinary" DP Trance finally comes out.:thumbup:
 
I'm wanting a Subcom Fixed bladed Wharnie....I think I'm going to do one myself...don't worry Chad I have another...just in case I get too file happy:foot:...If it turns out nice:)....I'm going to be the only one with a SubcomFB/Ronin....:pDoc:D
 
I wish you happy filing time Doc. Hopefully you will keep some blade length. But Hack you can always turn it in a toothpick :foot: @#$%!!! Darn Blasphemy (Dont let Chad hear this!!!)

:thumbup:Well I did it and Chad's gonna kill me!!!!!!:eek: I decided to keep the entire blade lenght, which is kinda hard to do with a conversion to wharncliffe...soooo...I didn't do a total wharnie....I did take off a 1/4" of belly and it looks like we have a leaf blade/modified Wharnie afterall....Now I have to reprofile and make this thing sharp by hand:yawn:it's a slow process but it's coming along, I felt to make it a true wharnie I would have had to removed to much of the edge and I didn't want to weakened it. Imagine a Spearpoint Leaf Blade/Wharnie tappered from the back to the point which I left alone...It is quite a site....It looks like a Subcom FB but you notice somethings quite not right, Amazingly it still fits pretty snug in the sheath. My thinking :foot: (like I might even know better than Chad about design:jerkit:) was a Subcom FB with a Wharncliffe might be a better slicer for SD....And Zenheretic and myself pleaded with Boker on this site to make one...(notice how I'm dragging Zen into this even though he had nothing to do with it, I figured If I have to go down take someone with me:p) Now I'm thinking This modified Leaf blade/Wharnie/Spearpoint might just do the trick for me....but I won't know for sure till I test it with some meat....I'll report back If I'm still alive after Chad reads this thread, that is if the the little men in black coats from Boker don't collect me up first:eek:.....Doc:D
 
I must see this Frankenstein creation of yours Doc! I too want something like what you made. Rumor has it that there is already a design in the works!:eek:

I think I started that rumor:p....my creation is basically meant to light a fire under someones A$$....Boker is gonna have to play catch up here....won't be hard for them....I only have one file.....;)Doc:D

I filed for about 45 minutes...I went slowly:yawn: I have way too much time on my hands....LOL...Doc:D
 
I saw you picture . You did a nice job Doc:thumbup: Looks a bit like the mature brother's blade shape of the spin.

For reprofiling if you don't have a belt grinder at home i would recommand a DMT diamond stone in xtra coarse and coarse. THose are the grey and blue ones after the coarse (blue) one you can switch to the grey 204's .
This will save you a lot of time . As i have some edc's which have to be sharp all the time i prefer dmt on regular bladeshapes for swifter resharpening . the red and green fine extra fine ones.

Maarten Thanks...BTW you are the second person to mention that it looks like a big Spin...I kinda think it looks more like a Great White's Shark Tooth...hence Subcom Shark Tooth or SST...I'll use some Diamond stones to get it back up to snuff....Doc:D
Ok....you tricked me Mat...didn't realize you were the same poster over at Spyderco Forum who said it look like a spin...LOL

Correction: Maarten is the only person who thinks it looks like the Spin....LOL....Doc:D
