hey everyone i need help cleaning the g-10 on my spyderco para milltary i tried to use a tooth brush and no results so can someone please help much appericated

I use a moist rag and a blotting motion.
The thing about G10 is that it's highly porous, which means alot of cleaning agents and solvents that get onto it won't come out. I had a cheap Benchmade that got ruined when I spilled some WD40 on it; that's why I don't use G10 knives at work.

That's strange. I've heard several people here and on other forums recommend WD-40 for cleaning G10. I've never gotten mine dirty enough to try it, but my oldest Dodo is probably a candidate. The blue is dull...I was hoping the WD-40 would bring it back.

Howdy,
What contaminant material are you trying to remove from the G10?

What cleaner you use will depend on the material to be removed.

G10 is pretty impervious to bloody near everything, so you are fairly unlimited, but you need a cleaner that will affect the contaminant.

Back to first line. What are you trying to remove from the G10?

g-10 is highly porous? Here's the ad copy from the Benchmade site:

G10: An extremely durable makeup of layers of fiberglass soaked in resin, then highly compressed and baked. Impervious to moisture or liquid and physically stable under climate change. Most commonly black, but is available in various colors, too.

The surface of G10 can be rough and appear porous. The laminate itself is not porous if it is made correctly.

Never tried to buff out scratches, I suppose you could depending on how deep the scratch is.
