I recently acquired some vintage Revereware (made in USA) and I see the slightest hints of pitting in some small areas of the stainless cooking surface. I am wondering if I can/should attempt to remediate the problem or if I shouldn’t be concerned.

Also, same question about some patches where the steel has changed color, probably in response to the high temps.

we have some steelco stainless cookware thats older than i am. we use fine scotchbrite to clean the finish. it might be possible that the pitting can grow and eat its way through over time so i would try to clean it up.
