I use gojo. Works great. The grit in the soap gets all the swarf off the stones. Don't worry - the grit in gojo is a lot softer than your stone. It won't damage it at all.
Ajax/Comet/Abrasive Bleach-based Cleaner of Your Choice and the scouring side of a standard dish sponge works pretty well for me for cleaning the triangle rods for the Spyderco Sharpmaker, but that combo yields less impressive results cleaning my 220 and 400 Edge Pro stones.
Welcome. We've had this a lot. Try searching 'cleaning stones'. WD-40 works good as well as Comet. So does Turpentine with a bristle or wire brush. Scrub it and wipe clean. I'd use mineral oil on that stone for sharpening. DM
I use silicone-based cleaner which is commonly used for polishing car. Mix cleaner with water with 1:1 ratio. Rub the stone with a dish sponge until all "dark spots" are clean. Rinse the stone with water after finished.
