Hey guys, I'm trying my hand at leather work for the first time, I'm attempting to make a sheath for a modified machete of mine.
I guess I didn't clean my work area well enough before I started and I have stained my piece of unfinished leather
. I think its just dirt and some metal shavings, as I'm working in the same area that I do my grinding and polishing. I tried rubbing it out with a damp clean rag to no avail. Is there anything I can do before I dye over it?
