Clean Up/Restore

My son recently died and among his things were found several knives. I'd like to clean them up and get ready for sale on the Bay. Should I use the bottle of Benchmad Blue cleaner he had for general cleaning and light surface rust removal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Don't do anything to clean the knives until you find out if they are collectible &/or worth anything or not.

Since you indicated an interest in selling the knives, you will need a Gold membership or above to go further...not only to determine value and condition, but to avoid having members contacting you in order to make an offer outside of the Exchange.

That said, the advice above is very sound...and until you know what you have, the best thing to do is "do no harm".
