So now I'm poor. But I can cut a lot of stuff right?

I've tried to research the Master Mechanic and Codger your writeup is about all I can find. The Big locker has some damage to the wood, it was the display knife. The stockman is in great shape. The LB7's are cherry as is the minuteman. The Cave bear again was a display knife but has the sheath and the box and papers.

This is the first time I've bought knives and not put them straight into service, it it the beginning of the end for me?

Got home a little while ago from an old store guy at work told me about. Got 2 890t's in the box, and a long shrade sharpening (stone)? in a leather sheath and about 15 empty boxes and paperwork for knives they no longer had. Got knives 50% off their marked price, boxes were free, Dan

Very nice find! While I have found a local store with an old Schrade display and nearly cleaned it out, try as I might, I haven't been able to get a discount off of retail on any of them. The only saving grace is that I've been charged 2001 retail prices rather than 2004.
