This one came to me as a chunk of rust with micarta slabs. It was rusted very badly and took me some time to get the rust out of the center fuller.

Beautiful! Hey, if you're bored, I got 3 or 4 more that could stand the same attention...LOL!! ;) :D:D

Ban, what can I say, you the man! It turn out just as I imagine it would be! Now send that sucker to me ASAP:D

Very sleek looking, you've certainly brought out the best in that knife.

I have a pretty rusty Competition Hell Razor that I have been wanting to clean up to make into something more along those lines.

It appears you had to remove a fair amount of steel to remove the CBT grooves.

Only the Mud Razor came without the CBT grooves, but those are not Mud Razor scales. All of the Competition versions came with CBT.

There are two things I wish I could do as well as you did on this knife Ban.

I can't get that nice a plunge line. I have had some luck cleaning out existing plunge lines. But, the HR with the CBT groves doesn't have a traditional plunge line to follow and stay within. You had to effectively "Create" one. I am thinking about some sort of clamp jig to help (?????). But, your plunge line appears freehand (?????) NICELY done!

And I can't get a nice flat grind on a curve like you did on that spine - How did you do that?

I really like my Hell Razor for a LOT of reasons, but I saw a picture of a modified Pommel once. I feel I need to change the pommel. The Hell Razor has a bit of a funny looking Pommel to me.

You have my address.

WOW, that's sweet! Is that top sharpened?

Yes, the top swedge is sharpened.

Yes I do remove a decent amount of steel to get rid of the CBTs.

Yes, the plunge lines are done freehand. Not sure about the jig because I have never used one.

Not sure what you are referring to....are you talking about the sharpened swedge?

Wow, that's really cool. Great job! It looks like you ground the swedge as well as sharpening it? Looks fantastic

Good to see some posts and pics by Ban,

Where you been?

Came out looking tops.

I actually used a 1x30 on infi for the first time recently. Tonight I used it again to take two nicks out of my SS edge.

Much quicker than doing it by hand.
