I just found a working internet access point and I just wanted to say THANK YOU on behalf of my entire family to Jerry and all the members of this forum ("family").
Hurricane Wilma pretty much took out my entire tri-county area and we have been without phones, power, and gas for the week but we are all safe. The house took some minor roof damage but I lost all my trees and my Police Unit was crushed under one. We have less then 10 percent of our traffic signals still standing so things are definitely interesting at work, but we are getting by pretty well due to the efforts of a lot of great people. I will post some pictures whenever I get some services back at my house.

Once again I can't thank the members of this forum enough for their thoughts and prayers. You have truly helped get me through a very challenging time and I will never forget that.

P.S. - Hurricane pay = Busse War Chest ;)

Glad to hear that you're safe.

...and glad to hear that you'll be using your "hurricane pay" wisely. ;)

I'm glad that you and your family are safe and the house is still standing.

Be sure to check in when you can, we'll keep the "trough" warm for you ;)

:D:D

After seeing the news coverage, it's good to hear you and your family are safe. It's what's most important after all.

It's times like these that hard-working knives like Busses and Swamps prove invaluable.

Well every day seems to be getting a little brighterr. Our city which is near Miami just got a tremendous amount of support from the Escambia County Sheriifs Office in northern Florida. They mobilized an incredible amount of resources and moved them 600 miles south to help us out. That's serious mutual aid. The roadways are getting cleared and the power is starting to get turned back on. The gasoline lines are very bad though with people waiting up to 12 hours to fill up, but that should improve once we get more stations operational. We are filling the hospital workers at our station so that they can get to and from work. Still every day is getting better and that is what is important. I'll be back full time soon I hope.

Stay Strong and No Regrets.

Andy
