What is the best way to clean a Benchmade
mini AFCK ? Should I rinse it with a mild
detergent and cold water? The instructions
that come with the knife, instruct the owner
to blow it out with some compressed air and
lube it, but that is impossible because
knives get pretty dirty with normal use.

When mine gets really gritty, I just run water through it. Dry it out with compressed air, and lube with Tetragun oil.

I got mine used. It had some minor rust spottings on the blade in the pivot area. I just took the whole knife apart and polished the insides. Since I've polished it, it noticed it's much easier to blow the pocket lint out of it.

I guess if your AFCK is newer, you might just rinse it, blow air through it, and lube it (tri-flo, rem-oil, tuff-glide...take your pick).

Hope this helps!
