I just bought a slightly used Kershaw Mini Cyclone for 19 bucks...only thing is the owner didn;t clean it often..got some slight rust spoting or perhaps some discoloration...i tried wiping it with oil and even alcohol..what's the best way to rid the blade of this discoloration?

Try some Simichrome and XXXXtra fine (4X) steel wool.... carefully (and LIGHTLY) rub the entire blade (not just the spots) in the direction of the blade length (heel to tip).
They are both abrasives, so be VERY careful with the finish...

Also, take great care not to cut yourself.... the worst cut I have ever gotten was from cleaning a knife that I thought "couldn't be THAT sharp".... Boy was I wrong! Cut right thru the rag I was using, and laid my right thumb WIDE open!
Please be careful, and good luck!

you can try wd 40. let it sit. rub it with course cloth.
but...
If u have to use steel wool go with 0000.
